The Journey

Every year of study was a step toward a bigger mission

1996
The Seed of Purpose

My father was diagnosed with kidney disease. Watching our family quietly carry that suffering planted a question that would shape my life: what can we do before suffering becomes serious?

The Learning Years
27 Teachers, 5 Traditions

Over 28 years I studied under more than 27 teachers — immersing myself in Varmam, Marma, Saram, Vaasi Yogam and Pancha Pakshi, learning how pain, breath, posture and emotion are all connected.

2016
Siddha Marma Vaidya Rethna

Recognised in Trivandrum for my contribution to Marma and Varmam knowledge — an early acknowledgment of two decades of dedicated study.

2017
First English Book on Varmam

Authored "Varmam – An Insight Into The Ancient System of Healing" (Vol. I & II) — the first English-language Varmam books built from original manuscripts, opening the knowledge beyond Tamil-speaking circles.

2018
Building the Academic Bridge

Helped pioneer a structured Varmam therapist diploma at TDU (The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology), and launched Varma Sara Sookshumam — the first English-language magazine on Varmam.

2019
Sri La Sri Agasthya Mahamuni Sannithaanam

Honoured in Hosur for continued service to traditional healing sciences.

2022
Varma Sootchuma Chudar

Recognised again in Trivandrum, alongside growing work at Agasthya Wellness Center as a clinical research base for Varmam therapy in ortho and neuro care.

2024
Mission Women Empowerment

Carried Varmam literacy to more than 1,000 people across North India — teaching in Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi — proving this wisdom belongs to every language.

Today
The Saram Living Community

Building Amber, Jade and Amethyst — teaching families to heal with awareness, training committed students into responsible practitioners, and preparing educators to carry this work forward.

The Future
A Great Wellness Academy

Fifty acres dedicated to education, research and retreats — preserving ancient manuscripts while training the next generation of preventive-wellness educators, worldwide.

Vedhan Sri

Compassion. Empowerment. Prevention.

Vedhan Sri's work stands on three convictions. Compassion through service — that knowledge should reduce suffering, whether or not recognition follows. Empowerment through education — that teaching should create capable, independent people, not dependence. And prevention before intervention — that the best time to care for the body and nervous system is before a crisis, not after.

None of this is possible without family. Behind every book, every camp, every year of study stands the quiet support of his wife and two daughters — the reminder that a meaningful career must still leave room for a loving home.

"A healthy life is built daily, not repaired overnight."

The Six Unquestionable Standards

How This Work Is Held Together

The principles that guide every class, every book and every student relationship

Compassion Before Recognition

Reducing suffering comes first — recognition, if it comes, comes second.

Empowerment Over Dependency

Every student is taught to become capable, not reliant on any one teacher.

Preserve Ancient Wisdom With Integrity

Traditional knowledge is researched, documented and taught responsibly — never distorted for convenience.

Prevention Before Intervention

Breath, posture, sleep and lifestyle are strengthened before illness becomes the only teacher.

Teach Only What You Practise

Every lesson is first tested in his own daily life, breath by breath.

Leave People Better Than You Found Them

Every student, patient or stranger should leave a little stronger, calmer or more capable.

Why This Matters Now

In a world of pressure, pain, speed, fear and dependence, there is still a place within every person that can be trained to become steady.

Healing does not always begin with something dramatic — sometimes it begins when a person becomes still enough to listen, when a family decides to live differently, or when one teacher refuses to let ancient wisdom disappear. That is the quiet work behind Saram Living.
